Student Gastronomic Cultural Tour

We will be visiting the local Market along with 3 different venues. The tour combines education, food, and culture, offering students the opportunity to explore different cuisines and culinary traditions while immersing themselves in the culture of the region.

Here are a few dishes that could be served during a culinary tour featuring popular snacks and specialties from Portugal and Brazil:

  1. Pão de Queijo – Brazilian cheese bread, a popular snack made from cassava flour and cheese, light and chewy.
  2. Pastel de Nata – A traditional Portuguese custard tart, flaky and sweet with a creamy filling.
  3. Chouriço – A Portuguese smoked sausage made with pork, garlic, and paprika, often served grilled or in slices.
  4. Bolinhas de Alheira – Small croquettes made from alheira, a traditional Portuguese sausage usually made with meats other than pork, like chicken or game.
  5. Rissóis – Savory Portuguese turnovers filled with ingredients like shrimp, cod, or beef, then breaded and fried.

These dishes blend the culinary traditions of both Brazil and Portugal, offering a flavorful tour of iconic items.
